well, this of it this way. if you have two piles of logs and one says "for fire" you think its for the fire you might build later when it gets cold, or for smores or something. the other one says "on fire" ...and thats a totally different meaning. so though the noun is the same and it seems like it should be about the same meaning, its not because for and on are different words. :D i really can't tell if that made any sense haha
