Question #49: Air

If hot air rises, why do mountain tops have more snow than sea level towns?

And I know there is probably a very scientific answer to this, but I'm just wondering...

  1. because the cold air lowers and when they mix they create normal air. ...lol. I'm guessing, the mountain tops are in the "cold" air area, and the hot air is closer to the "crust" of the earth
